Boudoir Lamp Workshop

Boudoir Lamp Workshop

This workshop will take place

Friday, February 28
and
Saturday, March 1

from 9:30 - 4

in my home in Danville, CA.

This 2 day workshop will have you creating a wonderful lamp like the vintage
boudoir lamps you see.

You will create a "half doll" of your choice....either a bunny or a bird.

She will become the top half of your lamp while an old metal lampshade
will be her skirt.  She will sit atop a tall spindle and her dress will
light on the underside.

This will be a larger piece and when you are finished it will break down into 2
pieces for traveling with or shipping.  I will have shipping
supplies available if that is the route you wish to take.

This is an intermediate class.  Basic sewing skills are necessary.
Some power tools will be used but I will be happy to help
you if you are not comfortable.

Types of tools and supplies needed will be:

Basic Sewing Supplies
Paintbrushes
Fabrics, trims, laces, etc that you will use to dress your doll.

Lunch will be served both days.

Alameda Pointe Antique Market is Sunday, March 2
for those that might be interested.  If it rains, the market is
pushed back to the next weekend but there is still
much to do in the area.

If you are flying in, you would want to fly into the Oakland, CA airport.
I am about 30 mins from there.

The closest hotel is the Danville Sycamore Best Western.
